The villa was to be a benchmark with regards to technology for other high-end villas in the area. All the systems were to be integrated to one package to have a seamless front-end user interface. The homeowners’ primary challenge was to easily control lighting, shading, audio, security, cameras, video and other subsystems from a single interface. In addition, the home gets used under a wide variety of circumstances - at home alone or entertaining a large family, or hosting corporate guests. With the complex control environment, the homeowners required concise user interfaces that allowed for a combination of specific room and mobile device control with remote access of all the sub-systems across the property. The owners needed an interface that was easy for guests to use and enjoy. Solution - The solution provided full audio, video and lighting distribution throughout all areas: Living room, lake view swimming pool, garage, kitchen, dining room, study rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. A technical room was used as the central point for installing all the modules, the surveillance systems and the A/V equipment.

The solution offered smooth and coordinated dimming of all lighting loads, including incandescent, fluorescent and LEDs. By connecting all the home’s functions into a powerful central platform, the homeowners were able to control lighting, temperature and audio/video easily from any of the main rooms in the home. The wireless touch-screens provide the owners with unrestricted access to controlling the water features, fountains and the systems surrounding the garden and swimming pool.

The home featured 16 independent audio zones all controlled from the user interface used to control the lighting. Lighting fixtures were zoned for lighting scene creation. The centralized control system facilitates scene management for the main living areas with the ability to turn everything off with the touch of a single button. Since the owners have specific visual needs; lighting for offices, kitchens, baths, vanities, and closets are optimized according to the needs selectable from the various user interfaces around the house. The keypads and interfaces provide an easy-to-use, simple and clean look on the wall without multiple gangs of switches and devices. Controls that blended into the custom-designed décor made the experience simple, relaxing and more enjoyable. They provided simple integrated control of lighting scenes and all home systems. With the swipe of a finger users can access the integrated audio system, integrated video or curtain controls.
